ABOUT INTEGRATED HUMANITIES

IH is a bridge between General Studies and senior secondary PSHE subjects. It is a comprehensive mode of curriculum integration in the Personal, Social and Humanities Education Key Learning Area (PSHE KLA) at the junior secondary level. In order to respond to the curriculum reforms in the 21st century, the College introduced the IH school-based curriculum in Forms 1-3. It is the interdisciplinary approach of integration with the humanities subjects, namely Geography, History and Life & Society. The main focus of Form 1 curriculum is about the personal development and our city, i.e. Hong Kong; the Form 2 curriculum is about our nation, i.e. China; and the Form 3 curriculum is about the world. Two components “St. Paul’s Sprit” and “Skills Folder Package” are also included in the curriculum in order to let students know about the College history and nurture their thinking skills respectively.
